Our Workshops

To pursue our work beyond the phone, text, email and chat, Tel-jeunes offers high school students and school counselors interactive workshops led by professional leaders. Our selection of workshops is catered to school audiences and based on the concerns of the young people who contact our hotline.

For the 2019-2020 school year, our school workshops will focus on:

peer support with the Aider c’est branché! program
love relationships and sexuality (different workshops are available and well-liked by both young people and counselors)
sexual education for school staff (with a workshop aiming to provide educators with the educational and emotional tools they need to discuss sexuality with young people as naturally as possible.)

In 2001, Tel-jeunes set up the Aider, c’est branché! program in response to young people who contact Tel-jeunes to help a friend. The people in their lives confide in these young people about often very difficult issues (suicidal thoughts, drug or alcohol use, etc.). They need support helping their peers while also learning to respect their own boundaries and needs. The Aider, c’est branché! program gives these young people an opportunity to improve their helping skills through interactive workshops led by Tel-jeunes’ professional counselors.
