Higher demand from parents and young people

When the crisis started in March, Fondation Tel-jeunes had to cancel all the benefits it holds to raise funds. At the same time, the number of requests for Tel-jeunes and LigneParents services rose dramatically (30% to 50%). Our response rate fell by up to 50% in March as we struggled to keep up with the sudden surge in demand. Psychological health issues now account for half of all requests received. Anxiety relating to the period of isolation, uncertainty, difficult family relationships and generalized worry have had a significant impact on families.

By reorganizing the work schedules and adding resources, we were able to raise the response rate to 65%, but still have a ways to go to be able to meet the growing demand.

My team managed to organize a benefit golf tournament with very strict hygiene measures and we were pleasantly surprised by how many of our partners participated.
