Our mission

Established in 2009, the Fondation Tel-jeunes ensures the longevity and notoriety of Tel-jeunes and the LigneParents. These two hotlines provide young people and parents with professional help when needed, 24/7, throughout Quebec.

The Fondation Tel-jeunes is very active, particularly by organizing quality fundraising events. It maintains longstanding relationships with its donors. Among other events, the Fondation Tel-jeunes organizes the largest luncheon benefit in Quebec, a lobster luncheon, which hosts 3,500 guests every year.

Tel-jeunes is a flagship resource for Quebec youth since 1991. By telephone, internet and text messages, Quebec’s young people are heard, supported and informed 24/7 about the issues that worry them.

Thanks to Tel-jeunes, teenagers can, at any time:

Reach a dedicated and experienced adult via various means of communication
Be listened to and heard, regardless of the issue they are dealing with
Obtain information that’s accurate and useful on various relevant subjects
Receive guidance in their decision-making

What do young people talk about?

Their distress as victims of violence, bullying and harassment
Their anxiety, loneliness or mental health issues
Their sexuality
Their concerns about the changes that come with puberty
Their heartbreaks and hopes in their romantic relationships and friendships
Their suicidal thoughts or their fear that a friend will commit suicide

LigneParents is a free and confidential hotline for all parents of children ages 0–20. Professional counselors are at the other end of the line around the clock. Parents can also reach counselors by ch@t from 2 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

2 or 3 weeks ago isent a tm too to know what to do after a brk-up becaus eit was my first time and you explained everything thanks so much.
